I've been playing S4 Rogue for years and I can honestly say that S1 Rogue on the ptr is MUCH stronger. I'm dropping clothies from 100 to 0 in one stunlock.

Low res and low armor on most pieces. Blizz tuned it later in expac.
As PapaXICO said, S1 gear is low on resilience and armor. If you watch some pvp videos from this time period you'll see its how it was
resillience will fix it

Yeah S1 pvp is gonna be quite bursty. The S1 offpieces are horrible (rings, neck, waist, boots), so a lot of players are gonna wear PvE offpieces and run around with 200-250 resi. Classes like Rogue and Mage have the upperhand here because they scale extremely well with PvE gear.
