Buff Green Item Drop Rate

You can make many of them undisenchantable to prevent breaking the enchanting leveling process, but there needs to be some way to get geared when leveling with 5x rates. It's common for people to go into Outland with some level 20 pieces, which almost never happens on a 1x server. With a 5x experience rate, we also need 5x more gear to compensate.

Please increase uncommon item droprates in vanilla, it's not normal to lvl up all the way with white items and almost empty gear slots till outland.
I don't care about rares, keep them RARE.

But please buff green item drops ....

I have to agree, it's a bit annoying when you're like level 30-50 and you still have weapons that are from the first or second quest from the starting zone.

There are many quests around that give you greens for almost every slot. Also a lot of class quests reward you with nice gear, Dustwallow Marsh also offers a lot of nice rewards.

It doesn't help that the economy(s) are so massively over-inflated, and that is literally half the problem IMO. Quest gear only nets you so much before players are encouraged to use the AH, but 100g+ for a level 15 green bear sword is ridiculous for most people starting out. My first caster ran with a white cane whose only stat was the one I had enchanted onto it for at least 20 levels because I literally couldn't afford the stratospheric prices on the AH. Playing these servers takes an entirely different mindset than retail.

Since I doubt you're going to get any love here, some tips--

Be self-sufficient. I know you want to min/max, but unless you are part of a guild or have wealthy friends, you won't be able to front the money it takes to push those professions up. Min/max later. Take the professions best suited for your character so you can gear them now. You'll still have gearing gaps, but at least they'll be smaller ones to fill. Sell the excess on the AH.

Play the AH. It's the only way you'll make money until you hit the Outlands where everything drops gold. If you don't need the drop, sell it on the AH. Price it accordingly. Do research on pricing. Sell your excess mats and profession gear. However you do it, the AH is almost mandatory.

On that note, take gathering professions for a little bit. Metal and leather are good, stable sources of AH income until you get a self-sustaining cash flow. I didn't have a guild or wealthy friends for my first character and I wasn't about to resort to begging, so I did this. I made an initial nest egg of gold using gathering, then switched to professions that allowed for self sufficiency in terms of gear. Now I've got play money and am decently geared most of the time. This is also why I have almost no patience for beggars.

But yeah, itemization sucks. Big time.

As a hunter I am just working on Skinning and LW until I get good gear, it's useful for later and will give me gear as I level (it's not a race with me) but some people don't have the luxury of being independent from gear as hunters do. Warriors for example, how well they level is solely based on the gear and weapon(s) they have.

I agree 100%. Allot of players think is fine to rush to max level and than do your profs. That may work for some, but not others. Since the rates are so unbalanced, I for one will be taking my time and work my profs to make some gear and sell extras on AH for reasonable prices. Not everyone knows all the quests that gives good quest rewards for gear, and with the fast rate of leveling the yellow exclamation points do not show up on your maps does not help. It takes time to research anything with the older expansions and it is getting harder to find information and guides on the internet. Sure the cost of trainers is discounted a bit, but for Warlocks and Hunters the cost of Pet skills is not discounted. Just my opinion.
