new TBC realm even though old projects arent finished

Yeah the title says pretty much everything.
I just cant understand why the warmane staff always starts new projects (like the pandaria realm, now the tbc realm) even though the old wotlk realms arent even close to finished?
I look in the bugtracker and there are thousands of quests, objects etc that are reported since a year or sometimes even longer, and i wondered why it take so long to fix these.
But instead of working on old problems, they start project after project to create even more problems.
Now i wonder no longer why it takes so long...
To warmane: Goddamned, finish a product be4 u bring a new one to the market -.-

We opened Cataclysm before Wrath was finished. Cataclysm does get a little work here and there, even though we offered to merge them into MoP, but they declined. MoP does still get a sizable part of the developer team's attention. So, what's your point? Now was a good time for us to do this, not wait until 2020 - We all know that MoP is a VERY complex and large expansion.

So, what are you concerned about? That your favored expansion will be getting less attention? If it's in the case of Cata & MoP, things haven't changed.

Their new projects are bringing in thousands of players and donations.
I think they are doing it right.

My point is, if warmane would use all its resources for one project (like the old wotlk realms), problems will be solved much faster. You say the old projects still get alot of attention, but a look into the bugtracker und the general time since when they are reported does show me something different. My point is, if u would use all your energy for one realm, then bugs would become fixed after a week instead a year, and with more ppl working on fixing you could finally provide real support, like resetting or finishing bugged quests, or lost items for players etc, speakin of real time support.
But ye,the main point is, u say old realms still get attention. But bugtracker prooves something different

what´s ur problem, most quests and achievements on wotlk work just fine
and btw fixes of bc will also get included to wotlk

well, yeah most...and i dont say the guys didnt made a very good job, nobody can say something different. But most are not all and it happens very often, that you for example work for an more rare or difficult achiev and than some bug blocks you from getting it for months. Or useful fun items, like the argent pony bridle, so your argent squire companion also is a mailbox/vendor/bank, arent working. Just few examples of many, if have in mind, cuz these were the ones that frustated me most. For the damn [Aregtn Pony Bridle] i farmed 2 Weeks Dailies for 150 [Champion´s seal], just to be rewarded with a not working item. Gm redirected me to Bugtracker, where i saw the bug reported since a year now. Same be4 the new core was up, one! buggy quest in shadowmoon valley prevented that many players got their loremaster achievement. They had to wait also over a year, while warmane worked on cata and pandaria bug fixing -.-

so, yeah, if u just lvl your char up to 80, gear him up and then start a new one, the bugs are not so remarkable.
But if u wanna go a bit into depth, farming achievements, fun items etc u will find more and more not working content

Size-able chunk of dev team = no bugs pending or fixed in the past week? It's quite clear there is literally no-one working on MoP right now.

The point that is being made is that if staff decided Wotlk was in sufficient condition to move on, the priority should have been MoP or Cataclysm, not a new expansion.

This is our point. We got virtually no attention before, and like you said, things seem to not have changed. Shouldn't players ask why things haven't changed for these realms??

A MoP/Cata realm would never have 13K+3K in the queue even if it was perfeclty scripted. Looking at the numbers right now the Cata server that is considered the best has 700 online, while MoP is barely reaching 1-2K at peak.
That ship has sailed, you can't hype up a ****ing Panda server. It's a waste of time and resources.
Most people here want oldschool WoW, the one that died with Lich King. New expansions are all the same ****, if you want them ou can always play on retail.

And I agree with OP that WotLK could use some more attention, because seeing things like a simple kill 1 mob quest broken for over a year (Nedar) or a raid boss (Halion) or PvP stuff (specific BG que) or RDF is just sad... But on the other hand this is a private server, not retail, bugs will always be a thing. Realistically the majority of players won't even notice that there's something wrong with certain things.

Simply garbage and untrue.

As you can see, there's 8k players online, and the realms back then were even worse than they are now.

We had two MoP realms at the start of Warmane, and they were also quite healthy population wise (link here)

As you can see, MoP has 6k players online even at this point.

The fact is, when a community feels it is being ignored and sees no progress for 2 years, it tends to move to greener pastures. That is what happened to the MoP community.

Based on what I'm seeing on most PvP forums right now, a non-trivial amount of high ranked PvP players are leaving Legion for a MoP server right now. It's just really unfortunate that these top players (many who participate in tournaments) chose another server. If we had spent 6 months working on MoP, maybe they would have been here and Frostwolf would be pushing 12k players as well; the evidence is there to suggest it could have happened.

I don't even get what this stupidity means, so not sure how to respond. Let me know which retail realm offers MoP or Cata, and I'd gladly give it a try. After all, I find the PvP on MoP far more enjoyable to any alternative I currently have.

What SHOULD be is not up to you. This is your opinion. Not one that is shared. I get that you're unhappy about that, but that doesn't change facts. MoP gets SIGNIFICANTLY more developer attention than what you attempt to give us credit for. Especially when new releases are about to happen.

But, here you are, trying to set an example, and in so doing, you insult the intelligence of your fellow community members.
