I hope it was intended.
Respawn timers are dynamic, so they adjust to the population in the area over time.
They could do with massively increasing the respawn timers on lootable items and named quest mobs. Sitting around for 10 mins with 15 other people going for the same mob is ridiculous. I walked past the Boglash spawn point and saw what looked like a raid group worth of players, and the spawn on him was in the region of 10 mins.
It's quite honestly ridiculous. The spawn should be in the region of 1min max. Same with lootable items, sitting around for 5mins for a lootable item that should honestly just instantly respawn is dumb. Especially annoying when lootable items on some quests do instant respawn, while others take many minutes. It's a quality of life thing that is needed when your server has multiple times more players than any blizz retail server ever had in TBC.
