The arena-shaman - what options do we have

Hello.
Name is Anfall and Im relatively new to shaman.
I used to play arenas alot on retail (never reached gladiator but proud duelist) but back then I was a rogue or priest.

I now look to play some arenas with my shaman but I have a few questions that I would love to hear input on (some discussions on arenajunkies have helped spur my questions);

1. What gear to get as rShaman?
### Personally, I love rShaman but Im struggling against melee-classes. Hence I want to buy mail-healing gear, but it isn't in this patch/season?
I can only find leather-pieces (apart from the blue-set) to buy for honor.
2. What profession is best for rShaman in arenas?
### Currently, the engineering goggles and 45+stamina trinket seem strong?
3. Is it still retri-paladin/warrior to go for in 2s?
4. What PvE-gear are good to look into?
### The ring from Shadow-lab seems rather good?
