If you're a PvE hero Troll or Gnome is the way to go.
I play Troll for PvP and I love it. Berserking is great, although undead is preferred by most. Ally side gnome, but downside is that you'll have to play as a gnome. Human's perception is also great, although expirienced mages can find a stealthed rouge without it too.
