PVP protection warrior

Hi,
I am wondering whether a protection warrior is still viable option in PvP?
I have read the guide by clovis, however there are comments regarding the SS bug, is it really a big problem which will make protection warrior to be less competitive compared to the other class?
I am wondering what are the BiS gear for a protection warrior PvP build, is there anyone who has information regarding this matter?

SS bug was fixed a long time ago.
Prot warr is very competitive. Its maybe not as strong as a Smourne arms warr but still one of the top builds for pvp.
