Wing Clip Not Scaling Correctly

In this (http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=181967#2-4-3) post from wowhead it states in patch 1.6 that:

A good small thing to note is that Wing Clip and Counterattack now scale off of weapon Damage.

This isn't changed in any other patch leading up to 2.4.3.

However, I've done extensive testing with hunters on Outland and have found that the damage of Wing Clip is not scaling with anything at all. Weapon damage or attack power (melee or ranged) are not changing the damage of Wing Clips at all.

Please help clear this up !

Patch 1.6.0 (12-Jul-2005): Will now cause damage to targets immune to immobilizing effects.

I cant find ur effect, can u give a link or something?

Its just in the Patch 1.6.0 section of that post. Just Ctrl+f "Wing clip".

I cant remember any server that has wing clip scale with weapon dmg, it is flat dmg. Also there are bug on retail too, this cloud be a bug.

Yeah I was thinking the same. The damage portion was removed in 3.0.2, but it should be at least 20% from weapon damage (from various sources). Would be interesting to see fixed...

Aimed shot on cata should be 2.4s cast but it was bugged on retail and it was 2.9s cast (it was a known bug dunno why blizzard didnt fixed it). So every private server has the 2.9s cast version.

This is just an example of bug back then, that exist on EVERY single private server because it is "the blizzard value".
