Spell hit and spell penetration for PvP

I'm trying but I cant seem to find a detailed info on how much spell hit do casters need for PvP and how much spell penetration to not miss spells.


Anyone knows the values for Burning Crusade?

Spell hit - 4%-6%?
Spell penetration - ???

5% will do and 70penetration

afaik spellpen wont help you to actually hit your spells.
its not like in wotlk+ where "resist" means your spell missed.
never saw someone going for spellpen in tbc

but flame me if im wrong

I think spell penetration counters resistances given by mark of the wild and similar spells.

Haha no need to flame, but yeah I think 70spell pen was necessary to avoid defensive spells/auras, I might be wrong too since I am not high lvl pvper in TBC.
