Deathblow to the Legion

Anyone know what is the trick with the scripting on this? It resets itself in the middle frequently, but at least one person has told me there's a "trick" to it. That person could have been lying, but honestly I'd just like to know if there's a consistent way to trigger or do the event so it won't reset.

when kaylaan becomes an enemy, don't attack him or heal any of the npc's. the friendly npc's will hit 1 hp, but they will not die. for some reason, having 0 threat on kaylaan makes socrethar become attackable and thus makes the event work correctly. good luck!
