As the title says I consider that Warmane should think to not follow blizzlike path with this issue. Keeping the attunements requirement for raids and revered reputations for heroics will keep the server alive for a long term for fresh lvl 70's and will keep unskilled away from raids. Even in cash flow I think people that will need to buy their gear to advance in game will be more motivated to raid the credit card more often.
All so you can bask in what you imagine to be respect for clearing them now? I'd suggest you try to enjoy the game rather than looking on others. The requirements had to be lifted as the path towards current content raiding became too stretched. Unless you want a reduction of raiders, I suggest going the blizzlike way.
Reduction of raiders ? TBC is not WOTLK so you can raid freely without any knowledge about your class and strategies. If you are not able to get attuned you definitely don't belong in that raid. (I see so many warlocks in green gear with destro spec that can confirm my statement) simple as that. and if you don't know, after release of Sunwell there is nothing else but BT, Hyjal and Sunwell. As far from looking on others, buddy, I can't help it. Because is a MMO and I need the others to enjoy the game.
