I wanted to discuss how my fellow hunter friends handle their mana through the fight. I personally like a bigger manapool (about 6,5-7k buffed with Kara gear) with some mp5 so i can play longer with AotH and switch to AotV at about 15% mana.
I see some Hunters with almost exclusively leather gear and question myself how they last through the fight.
Leather items bring more dps but you have to switch to AotV earlier, imo.

Fel Mana Potions / Demonic-/Dark Runes on cd ?!??!
retpal can put Wisdom on boss, and it will be ur main manaregen on boss.
Hunter u seen in leather are all optimized for raid 25.
For exemple, as survival hunter, i got 10K mana from the seal on FLK (boss droping t5 legs). representing 143 mp5 (350 sec fight).
Added to mana pot + runes u can get up to a total amount of 20K mana on this fight. without blessing of wisdom or mp5 stuff.
Admitting u only use steady shot (101mana) every 2sec, + kill command (75 mana) every 5sec.
On this fight u will use 22 300 mana. GG wp u end fight with 3/4K mana without any mail part.
To give u an exemple, with endgame stuff, u don't reach 6K mana unbuffed.
how can u compare Surv with Bm ???
ofc Surv is less mana intesive as Bm....
survival use more mana to dps and get less mana than a bm from sow.

You don't really have to worry about mana.
