Fire Mage ignite

Hello guys,
how can i avoid ignite munching ? in some figths i can get 52k per tick and others juste 18k

There is no Ignite munching.

Ignite ticks every 2 seconds, but if you land a crit that refreshes it before those 2 seconds, the amount of damage stored in it increases and its tick timer resets. If you continuously crit a lot and don't let it tick, the amount in that damage bank keeps increasing. This is why you observe those very large Ignite ticks sometimes. You aren't actually doing more DPS this way because the net ignite damage is the same. It doesn't munch or anything here.
