Black screen with sound when launching WoW

Hi guys,

So I am an old player returning on Warmane and I downloaded the tbc client to play on Outland. I am having issues when launching since I can hear the cinematic but the screen remains black and hitting any key won't change, I need to ctrl+alt+del to end WoW in order to quit it. I remember there was a way to change the resolution out of the game (since I think the resolution is the problem) but I can't even find the config file in the wow folder. Could you please help me out, thanks!

WoW > WTF > config.wtf

my WTF folder is empty. how do i fix this? how should the config.wtf file read?

Same for me. Only has the realm list line. Came for same problem :s
Just add this line: SET gxWindow "1"
That should make it start windowed without getting the black screen.
