Did i extract my WOD files WRONG?

a few days ago i downloaded the file where you can play W.O.D. models in MOP. with the link to that file came with step by step instructions on how to install it. i extracted all the files to the 5.4.8 folder and started my game in both "32 bit" and "64 bit" and it worked up till the login screen said "connected" and then the game minimized itself and gave me the screen that says "contact the support team for more information". i notices the game itself was still running but it said i was disconnected from the server. it gave me to options that said "okay" and i think the other one was "exit game" or "quit" or something. because of this i didn't know what to do so i deleted the game and had to re-download it (which it's still doing as i'm typing this. it's been going at it for days now) and i still have the files for the models in the form of a winRAR file. am i doing something wrong?
