Nightmare Tear

Just a question. As TTW Mage should i use a Nightmare Tear in my sockets or use only the other random gems? Thx

Short answer is: No.
It is more beneficial to go with the appropriate gem for the socket.

Most of the time other classes go for Nightmare Tear simply to activate their meta gem.
But this isn't the case for casters since they generally gem reds blues and yellows with spellpower (+haste/crit/spirit/hit).
