Being able to move character placement in Character Selection

Title says it all. Being able to move characters up/down in Character Selection is in no way game-changing, and it does not effect ANY in-game content, since it obviously is not in the actual game world.

It would be nice for us with several characters who want to organize them in level/main to alts/whatever.

For the game clients that don't already support it, would require at minimum a client-side edit. Thus, not feasible.

Prove me wrong about what? That we have no interest in requiring people to use modified game clients? There isn't an argument to be made here. We aren't going to be requiring edited game clients.
