Worth Trying to Catch Up? Can someone explain the gearing system? (PvP Focus)

Just finished my last semester at Uni (for good, hooray!) and have a few months of buffer time until I start Working.

Currently I am an [A] 2360 GS Rogue (BiS Pre-Kara with some Upgrades). Not terribly under geared but obviously not up to par with Tier.

I'm struggling to find a direction to go. I have 375 Engi and Goggles. Also obtained the Rep Sword (Vindicator's Brand). But I find it so hard to find a group or guild willing to pick me up or even give me a chance.

I'm an experienced raider, and I am an extremely active player. Cleared Kara 11/11, 2/2 Gruuls, Maggy etc. I know all the boss fights and i'm rarely subject to finger pointing. Yet no groups will even bat an eye when I ask for a spot. I am [NA] but completely open to working my schedule around the Guilds/Groups. Usually the conversation doesn't even get to that point.

So far the last two weeks back to this server I have sat in Shatt/Stormwind reading Global/LFG replying to almost every single Guild Advertisement/"LF DPS ALL CLASS [Inset ANY Raid Here] /w Me !1!" And not a single person, I kid you not.. even bothered replying. (I'd take a "**** off" or "No Rogues sry" over no reply in general).

Sometimes i'll hop into a BG the next day to take my mind off literally not being able to progress and see the SAME PEOPLE who ignored me at the bottom of the charts even though they have maybe 400-700 GS more than me. And i'm sitting here with my wang out 2300 GS with Top KB's/Sometimes Damage.

My end game goal is BG's/WPvP/Arena, do you have any tips you can offer? Should I be focused on Spamming BGs/Arena or continue considering seppuku trying to find a raid spot that doesn't exist for literally any guildless/mildly under geared class that isn't in High Demand on Outland.

This seems weird tbh. I got invited to kara even few weeks back from my guild when I was at about 2k1 GS and literally worthless with mediocre 700 dps as a mage. Anyway, I'm not really into PvE since I'm a PvPer mainly so I guess you should make your choice about which way you want to go. pre-kara bis gear is obviously crap for PvP, but now you can farm honor for the Gladiator epic set which previously did cost Arena Points. BG's isnt really a endgame goal for anyone I think since there is no rated bg's, so if your into pvp your main focus is to be spamming all the BG's which is the thing that I've been doing the past one+ month (sadly the S1 Vendors are still missing lmao) and now I can finally focus on some real action in arena since my GS will elevate to 3k+ after next flush.

I kind of like PvE in TBC even though I never raided before (except in Legion at the start but I got bored really fast) but Im not bothered to do the attunements. I did only Kara and I wont bother with any PvE untill SP comes out and all attunements will get removed. The only reason I will be doing PvE is BoJ from heroics for my new epic cloak which costs for some weird reason 60 badges even though its clearly a PvP reward. To sum this up, you should make your own decision on which way to focus your gaming I guess since no one really knows what you enjoy most except for yourself. If you wanna aim high in PvE then be it, for me thats a complete waste of time that I dont even have.
