It is 5 seconds. The only thing is that on your buffs, Pushing the Limit will start at 4s. tick down to 0s, and then expire. If it expired on 1s left, then it would be 4 seconds. But that's not the case.
To simplify it further: 4s , 3s , 2s, 1s , 0s, expire.
One either counts N-many natural numbers from 0 to N-1 or from 1 to N. Rapid algebra.
