Faction change on Lordaeron with Points

You can currently only change your faction on Lordaeron with coins, but on other realms you can do so with points too. Why is it so expensive there?
I leveled up my dudu to 64 on horde and dont really bother to start a new character as I found nice group to play with - but theyre all 60+ and on alliance. none of them are willing to level up new chara. Too time consuming, which is a problem for myself too.

So am asking if there will be a way to change your faction with points any time in the future?
