Not able to TYPE in the WOW Launcher

This is a problem both with MOP and CATA clients.
Any help?
I can type in a few letters if I am fast enough, but then everything freezes and typing is no longer possible. None of the button work either.

I deleted and downloaded the client again and still the same problem
