Can i offer to refund a certain amount of coins after they purchase one of my characters or is that illegal? thanks
Why it would be illegal when you gifting them back coins? You aren't selling them.
I did same thing when i sold my paladin.
Technically it isn't illegal - yet, at least.
It's still misusing the features we offer as a loophole to an imposed limitation that exists for a reason - and an easily traceable one, even using different accounts - so if it became a trend I wouldn't be surprised if measures started to be taken. And that doesn't even touches the point of it being a risk. I mean, you don't expect to open a Support ticket saying "this guy promised me to cheat the system and give me back part of the coins but he didn't, help me," right?
I fully expect to see such Support Tickets opened!
I just don't expect them to receive the answers they hope for :P
I know this is old,but offering someone refund is not system cheating.
1)He pays full price, its my good will to give or not to give some of the coins back.
2)There's 3600 GS chars with lower lowest price than 2900 GS people just because t6/s3 items aren't in the store yet.
That basically means chars with 3600-3800 GS are cheaper for about good 60-70 coins than chars with 3000 GS
If someone decided to sell full t6 rogue with both glaives now, price would be around 170-190 coins.
If someone decided to sell full t5 character, price would be around 260 coins.
Who's fault is that?Sure as hell its not player's.
If it wasn't cheating the system, you wouldn't need to do something outside it. This is basically a way to sell characters for a lower price than what we enforce. Three chances for you to guess how that can be called.
If you go outside the system with promises of refunds, you're on your own. It's no one's fault but yours if you try to cheat the system and get cheated yourself.
How do you call buyer not wanting any coins back, but i send him as a gift some anyway?Without any previous gifting discussion.
I guess coins gifting is system cheat as well.
Anything to add on this?
If someone decided to sell full t6 rogue with both glaives now, price would be around 170-190 coins.
If someone decided to sell full t5 character, price would be around 260 coins.
Me for an example,im trying to sell my shadow priest,3200 pvp gs.Lowest price is 250 coins.S1/S2 geared.
Dude full s3,with s3 weapon and shoulders selling his char for 195 coins lowest price.
Ty for replies
pick one, either your offering the refund, or there's no previous gifting discussion.
no one, and i mean no one is going to sell a character, for whatever amount, and then turn around and say "ya know what, i don't like these coins, let me send some back."
Me and my PvP partner have been considering selling characters for coins to help gear up faster. If say, I finish gearing first and continue to sell characters can I gift the coins to her to help her finish gearing her character or is that illegal as well?
I would if i liked person i talked to,depends on coins amount i got.
I bought Sextant of Unstable Currents to a guy i don't know in real life, with whom i played couple arenas, just because he was epic dude.
First time i sold char on this account, deal was to gift back 60 coins, but since i didn't need more than 90,i gifted back 78
And i will keep giving away as much as i can to people i don't even know as long as they are nice and polite.
Why not?
Just because you haven't met single person out of over 500.000 people who have accounts here, willing to gift and give,it doesn't mean they don't exist.
Bravo Werdx.
I’m thinking in a similar way.
I have gave on my lifetime span in Molten over 2000 coins to various people, sometimes complete strangers just for kicks or for being really good in arenas, just undergeared.
So yeah, it does happen, perhaps not as much as people want it to be but it does not mean it does not exist.
That I have to agree truly. Since I never have done that part of "gifting" or aiding people via coins return.
If I want to gift people I'll simply do it if I feel like it.
I do understand the part of bypassing the rule from trade. It is indeed the sketchy part of wanting to sell something instantly.
What people generally do not understand how trade works and that is their biggest problem.
For instance atm on Outland you can sell full s3 for roughly 150-200 coins.
And people cry when they see it , how is it possible , my s1 is 400 coins.
Trade works on items currently on Store, if no store items no coin price is set.
Same with BOE ,since there are no boes it is easy to gear up a toon to quite nice gs using only trade and selling it for really nice price without being set by system.
To add, i have recently sold my boxing shamans and rerolled horde hunters cuz shamans main stream.
Each shaman (tbc) had 4/5 vengeful, full s3 offset, lightning capacitor, icon of silver crescent,25k honor and 100 eots/av,50 ab and wsg martks excluding cloak ,wep, shield and shoulders.
So even those missing pieces you could almost buy instnatly.
Guess what was the price?
71 coins.
Only 71 coins for full s3 character almost.( in sincerity,it only mssed like 1 piece if you include marks and honor from it)
