hello,
im getting an error when i try to open the client.
"World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up-to-date."
Already checked DirectX as well as my drivers. The client worked fine when i opened it an hour prior. Any help would be appreciated.
Was there anything you did between the last time the client worked to now? Also can you list windows version, gpu and cpu.
nothing different. just stopped playing for an hour. but disregard the issue i guess, woke up this morning and its suddenly working... lol. idk why but im not complaining.
I get this error intermittently as well, just started yesterday (04-30-18) got the error two or three times before the game started running. Then again this morning I am getting the same error.
As the OP said I did nothing in between the last time I ran it and now aside from putting my PC to sleep.
I am running Windows 10.
CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 TI (x2 SLI)
Just an FYI, a restart seemed to fix this issue.
While there is probably another solution, this will work for me for now. Thought I'd share.
