I've done this thing twice now. Yet again, I'm gonna miss out on a gold deal because of this. I get the extra security, but why turn it off just to annoy me again? Makes me not want to donate anymore.

Did you press "save changes" when enabling it? If you did, you might want to describe your problem more if you want to get any help.
