[WOLTK] Make Relentless weapons avaible at a certain rating for honour points.

So, bar furious weapons (which are only avaiable by voting) there are no pvp weapons in game that one can obtain via pvp untill one reaches 1800 (which is super hard for some classes, which rely on weapons, such as warriors). Unless you are raiding the next best thing is the battered hilt, but that is a bit pricey and also requires pve.


My suggestion would be to add the relentless weapons to the game, add something like a 1200-1400 rating requirement in 2s and make it cost (300 AP and) 70k honour os something (so something you can grind out in furious gear, if you arent braindead).

It would give new pvpers something to start with, not make anything obsolete (youll still want that pve weapon/those wrathfull pvp weapons) and smoooth out the gearing process somewhat.


Yes, it isnt blizzlike but neither is facing full bis smourne warrior/hpala at 1300mmr. Would imo just be a all around good addition to the game and might draw some people who are trying to gear for pve (who cant afford the hilt) into pvp a bit.

Closest thing you have is furious at the point shop. It's not *that* bad.

MMR droppers is something they've been working on. Since forever. Maybe someday...

A lot on this server is not blizzlike, donations, transmog etc. Some things on a private server create problem retail didnt have to bother with, like the amount of to well geared people in arenas at any rating (not just MMR droppers), u could get way further with bad gear on retail, so the problem isnt really blizzlike either. And i think that making relentless weapons avaiable doesnt affect the blizzlike experience itself very much, it just smoothes it out a bit.

Okay, let's put it another way.

People buy gear and weapons because that puts them well above everybody else.

By making relentless weapons available you are putting that in jeopardy.

Yes, you could say that. But imo that is a very very good thing, and besides, the more people try out the game and decide to stay around instead of abandoning it because the gear gap is too big the more people will eventually get fed up with the queue and donate, or want to get even higher and donate for that (i.e trinkets and other stuff you can only get from raiding).

And relentless gear is still a lot worse then wrathfull gear, so there still is an incentive to get better or to donate (because wrathfull weapons are decent, but ICC ones are a lot better).
