AH bot, suspicious behavior

So I bought a recipe from the horde and wanted to mail it on my ally side because I needed it there more than I do on the horde side. I put the recipe for 2 silver and click create auction, THE MOMENT I CLICKED this dude buys it. Instantly. The interesting part is, he was a feral druid that was no where near the auctioneer in booty bay. I used my warrior (human racial passive, stealth detection) to scan all the possible gaps where he could've hid and still have the range to target the auctioneer.

I had no luck. I used demoralizing shout.. nothing. The dude wasn't in that spot at all. How is it possible that like 1 sec after I make the auction, someone who isn't even near the auctioneer buys it. It's like he KNEW I was gonna put that exact item for a low price.

P.S I checked on /who if he was in some other zone, it said he was in Stranglethorn Vale. It's oddly suspicious.

There are two AH spots in BB.
The one inside a little house bottom floor is usually camped by bots:

Don't bother to report, it's nearly imposible to get them banned.

It's not, why should it be ?
Using 3'd party programms to snipe auction is bannable.

If someone can buy the item that fast by botting, I could do it just as fast with just addons and some luck. You can not prove that he is botting just from how fast he bought your item.

Yeah... Players that spend 24/7 stealthed in front of auctioneers are definitely not botting. At all.

I am not saying that they are not botting. They most likely are. But it's hard to prove. I could leave a char there all day without botting if I wanted but not 24/7. Of course average time required to buy an item increases to a few seconds in that case, but while that WoW window is active it can still be almost instant.

It's definitely hard to prove, but it could be done. It would require GMs to spend more time than they have I assume.

Exactamente. Hence the most obvious solution is to start doing the same **** yourself. Eventually too many will do it and the problem will be dealt with or the server loses its soul.

There are many other problems that are sucking the soul out of the server, and they are much more pressing than AH bots.
