Mobs settings
Hello there,
I would like to raise a question about 'caster' mobs dealing (in my opinion) way to much damage. It does seem that their damage is always a critical hit and outweighs the damage from similar melee mobs.
Is this done deliberatly or is it just a minor programming/setting glitch?
For instance i can handle 5-6 melee mobs from a pack but when im busy with 1 melee mob and 2 casters can have their way with me i drop very fast (with some cc on the casters it's no problem but i can inmagine newbie players having alot of difficulty with them).
A good thing is that 99% of the time mobs drop their quest items rather quickly so that saves alot of grindtime during questing; but there are some mobs that have a very low droprate for item quest. For instance those Bonechewer Orcs you have to kill in Hellfire Peninsula for their [Bonechewer Blood] comes to mind.
Anyone cares to ellaborate on this? It's not a big issue for me but i'd like some explanation nonetheless.

Well you can parry/dodge/block melee mobs while casters you pray they miss or you partially resist the spell, that's all. Though they do have a long cast time, try some casting speed reducing debuffs or some resistances if you can get them, that ought to help a lot.
