Stuck on "Connected"

So I recently downloaded the client on a different computer. I have added an exception to the firewall, tried turning off the firewall, re-downloaded the client, file shared from my old computer, re-downloaded client again, and yet I still get stuck on "Connected". I can log in and select a server and it goes through all the "handshaking" and whatnot, but gets stuck on "Connected" and never pops up my character list. I have run out of ideas on how to get it to work. Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Running Windows 10.
All other programs have no issues with connecting.
