recover characters

Good evening, I want to solve this problem that I have
My problem is that I have left again for several months and I have found the surprise that the server NELTHARION (cataclysm) is no longer there, they have closed it. What I want to know is what will happen with my 5 pjs lvl 85 that I had in that account, I got them during the 2015 promotion, I want to know if I can recover them, but in Wow WTLK, icecrown, I did not want to lose the characters I had there.

Bruh you can still log on neltha ,cata is just removed from the main page,and info about chars and everything we'll get in the soon announcement.

Most likely not. I assume that all Neltharion characters gonna be transfered to Frostwolf MoP.
Transfering them to a older xpac is technically impossible since 80 is the max level there.

Exactly, but I do not mean to transfer the characters, but you decide where you are going to have those characters, that give you the ease of creating the maximum number of characters that you had in cataclysm
