Hello Icecrown
Good day everyone,
I'm a casual from Lordaeron that is nowdays interested in trying Icecrown because Lordaeron feels kinda empty... I don't plan on spending any money because student life+ i'm in no rush. I'd want to ask you what class you'd recomend to start as. I've read previous posts that said demo warlocks are in somewhat demand, which is lucky because I love playing warlock. Is it still the case?
The only thing that turns me off from a lock is all the dks/warriors/paladins with smournes...dks especially.
So, what class you'd recomend that is not overpopulated and does not really need stuff from shop.
Thank you and have a good day:)
p.s. How is life in Icecrown? what are people doing besides pvp since the world I assume is empty since everyone lvls so fast

heyo
i dont know what classes are best for non donater but i can tell you that the open world is full of ppl . 12k people is alot for azeroth so you will always find some1 to fight/help/chat/level together.
but one more thing if you really want to play on icecrown you should really think about donating. makes starting on icecrown way easier (gs req for raids is extreme.dont know how it is on lordearon ). and after all donations keep the servers running :D
have a nice day

Go warlock man, It was my first char on Warmane in 2009 and still my favorite, coolest class in game no doubt, people pick the classes they have some knowhow about, people in general seems scared to pick something they have no clue about, so that's why the population on warlocks are specially low.
And the damage is great, but the skill cap is high, which is why everyone who sees a low demo is like "meh why play that class", combine that with the low population of warlocks, and you got a whole realm who thinks locks have one of the lowest dmg in wotlk.
Icecrown is great, a lot of people doing everything, Icecrown Citadel and Battlegrounds are most popular though, but the world never feels empty, while leveling my 15 chars I always saw 10-15 people in the same zone doin quests / leveling, So sometimes I wisped people if they wanted to do some dungeon quest, and I gathered 4 guys for a quick low lvl dungeon.
Zul farrak in Tanaris is specially good for this.

Thank you very much for your replies:D
Will give it a go and warlock it is!
I really liked demo and how timing meta and your cds could skyrocket your dps in comparison to other demos who were there just to give others the buff, makes you challenge yourself a bit more I think + you turn into a demon and flap your wings if you have a priest friend to levitate you.
