Character creating issue

I was playing on a shaman and i didnt like it so much and i wanted to change to a hunter, and i want the same name
But when i deleted the shaman and tried to create the hunter with that name i couldnt.
It was saying that name already exists, what happen?

it seems names became available in 30 days after character deletation

Damn that sucks a lot, i wanted to play with that name

this new policy is totally pissing one.
