High ms - what to do?
Here is the problem.
I used to play on Warmane all the time (Icecrown realm).
Wasnt playing for last like 6 months, and i came back now on Lordaeron but i have some large MS (Ping - Latency) problems.
Yes i changed my ISP but it actually got improved now i have (~60mb/s download speed - ~4mb/s upload speed - ~20ms) checked on more then 3 diffrent "speed test" sites. Btw im using Win 7 32bit cus my PC is low asf (still have around 60-70 fps tho)
Internet works fine on CS 1.6 (old school) ping is around 10-20... But then again you could play CS 1.6 on Dial-Up Internet back in days....
Here is the list of things i tried so far (maybe i forgot some things cus i did alot in like 3-4 days)
- Scan for Virus and Rootkits
- Downloaded diffrent WoW's (WOTLK WOD mods, OLD WOTLK from Warmane, few Vannila WoW's for Kronos, Elysum, etc.) high ping on all of them.
- Reduced the game settings to very low, tried diffrent resolutions in game.
- Tried Leatrix_Latency_Fix_3.03 also did the same thing manualy.
- Reset modem (router).
- Did the Flush DNS (and getting new IP), tried setting custom DNS on IPv4 Protocol to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
- I did update Drivers for internet/graphic card... I did Windows Update.
- I tried deleting WoW files (Cache/Interface/WTF)
- It got so bad to the point i actually installed Windows again (again Windows Update/drivers/internet driver update)
- Disabling Anti-virus program/deleting him eventualy
- Enabling WoW on Firewall, later on Disabling Firewall fully.
- I tried "Power Cycling your Network Devices" (recommended by Blizzard Support on retail WoW Forums) its basicly router reset..
- I disabled Wi-Fi, didnt do anything.
Any new ideas? :/
