coins for gold?

I am new to this server and donated for 11 coins and now i am trying to acquire gold for a character i am lvling, I also was curious about the fact that i still have to wait until 55 to make a dk despite the guide saying i could make it once i donated

you can buy gold by going to your my account section and hitting trade. making a dk without a level 55 works on all realms except for lord.
