Locked coins

Cya,

I have sold character on Icecrown realm and get coins. Now I want to buy one on Lorda.. and it says:

You do not have enough non locked coins to purchase this sale, try again in 72 hours.

My question is, do I need to wait really 72 hrs our it could be earlier?

Yes, you have to wait 72 hours.

And please, it will unlock at midnight or simply if I get them today at 10am it will unlock at 10am after 72 hrs?
