The random dungeon finder system is very negatively impactful. The 30 minute deserter debuff is not enjoyable for any player and randomly being tossed into an rdf with trolls is unfair as rdf makes you get:
-a random dungeon
-a random group
and the rules behind looting in dungeons is even worse as it forces you into getting only
-a random loot set to roll on
TL:DR is at the bottum
As a player I should never be scared to "Fill" in a multiplayer game, which means taking on the role of multiple roles that a group may require to proceed in the voyage of group gameplay. In example league of legends filling means playing a role that is not taken. MANY, MANY, and I can't urge it enough MANY players on WoW will fill the random dungeon group with whatever role they can to get the group moving. Retribution paladins, feral druid healers, etc can make a dungeon work although not optimally.
-Ninja looting in a dungeon should only be bannable if the player is needing on an item he does not need for ANY spec, not just his dungeon filed spec, as a need roll signifies a need for an item, not a dungeon qued "need" or a spec need. Yes raid rules are different and they should be different as raiding is much more different than dungeons.
- Raiding rules go by main spec/ off spec, dungeon rules are based on need before greed loot, which signifies a need for an item. Many classes are also unable to need on items they need via group loot and so this system is flawed already. Paladins will need cloth gear from FOS/POS/HOR and they're unable to need the loot they need because of class requirements. This is why group loot should be in effect over need before greed. This will also have players who ninja loot while leveling up learn from their peers that it's wrong to need on an item and that they need to press greed or they will be banned.
***Overall please implement a window of opportunity for players to leave an rdf they just joined, maybe less than a minute after joining. This will make way for players who want full dungeon clears to not get stuck with mid-dungeon clears or locks they don't want, and also stops any "disruptive gameplay" that comes from being forced into a trashy situation like this.***
***Second suggestion is to change rdf loot to group loot and give a rule book at the start of every new character that shows raid rules, dungeon rules, and server rules overall. This would benefit the server in many ways and help avoid bans***
