hi, i just started to play on the server today and someone told me that you can buy the latest tierset and weapon for real money?
what's the point in playing the game? isn't that the biggest time waste to raid or do pvp if you can just buy all the stuff for money?
Check the store - select realm, character, coins and check the prices.
These items aren't cheap, you can get a brand new game for the same price as 1 item, and you need 16 items for a set.
Not a lot of people to say the least buys a full set, most people get 1-2 pieces if they even donate at all that is.
Everyone on this realm play like normal. Try it out.
I donated smallest amount to unlock trade section and skip queue and then traded gold for coins to buy items (since it is much easier and faster than getting the best items to drop), think I got ~7-10k gold per hour of playing in a not bothersome way and for a while after gold squish gold is worth ~1 coin (~1 euro) per 1k gold.
I think 1 item is ~20 euro (slightly more), or 40-50k gold for most part of the year and ~20-25k gold for a while after new year.
Then I got bored of that it was "I can get any item I want, just need to spend ~3-6 hours getting gold", everything about gold. So I changed to Lordaeron since it doesn't have the coin shop.
Other issues there also ofc, like in bgs and arena Lordaeron players fight against icecrown players, so it is basically a fight with some having very easy to get BiS gear (because of coin shop, overgeared characters in raids and easier raids) vs some that have it extremely hard to get best gear (no coin shop, harder than default raids)
