Seperate Arena from Lord icecrown and blackrock Or ban Smourne in 2s and 3s

Maybe keep Icecrown and Blackrock together but as a Lordareon player i don't see why i have to start farming for full furious and then get queued into full wrathfull and shadowmourne ppl from Icecrown which paid for their gear, or Blackrock people who start at full rele for free and get trinkets like Death's verdict etc for honor.

Iam not saying that donating is a bad thing, it's a very good thing because it helps the server. What iam saying is that people from Blackrock and Icecrown got a huge advantage over us in Lordareon and that puts alot of people away. Currently iam almost 1,7 Holy pala alot of times i beat full wf and Smourne people but i had a chat with peeps from my server and they literally cannot push due to gear disatvantage. Not all people are on a high skill level and i believe that having to play against BIS people who can get that off the store in a minute, just keeps my realm's pvp community away sometimes as we cannot do the same. Those who want to improve don't have the chance to do so at times due to shadowmourne ful lBIS comps deleting them in a second.

A solution to the problem would be to ban Shadowmourne from arena as it would at least give low geared players an increased chance.


My2nd rd solution would be PvP templates like we had pre BFA on retail. Although i never liked them and iam personally against it as it takes away the sense of progression, it would give starters and people who wanna learn a chance.

Last suggestion but not least, let Lordaron donate for coins/use coins to buy bis gear like on icecrown.

Ban the one item that is more profitable than 6 other items? Yea no. It's on the store for a reason and has a price that high for a reason. Not like anyone will throw that much money on an item.

If Icecrown and Blackrock have a huge advantage maybe consider moving onto one of those two? Blackrock also doesn't have the queue, you'll get all that "OP" gear people always whine about on the forums and be #1 team on the ladder. Top 6 are blackrock anyway, maybe Icecrown can complain also...

He have the point, If you want some high level arena you should play on BR.
How do u even find arena partner on realm like lord? its full of pve noobs just like icecrown (icecrown players in armory's top 50ladder are actually blackrock players who have alts on icecrown) + you can't even get gear easily like on other realms. Tbh if you or your arena partner don't have semiBIS or BIS gear u have nothing to do in arena unless u play 10 games for points. Even if you are good player you will probably lose to noob icecrown players that have gear advantage and kills you in 2GCD.

He has a point - starting pvp on lordaeron is actually facing full relentless and togc25 geared people from blackrock most of the time, which is far from balanced considering the average player on lordaeron doesn't even face the later half of icc, be it 10 or 25.
Most people I talked with wanted to try pvp at like 232-ish gearlevels, but just stopped because there's little to no point in playing arena at that gear, not even below 1.5k rating.

Yes, skill can outplay gear - but it's just not very userfriendly if you're not even on the same ground of gear unless you're raiding in one of the "big guilds" of lordaeron.
Might just put lordaeron below 1.5k into it's own bracket or scale opponens by gear, just so people can actually start out with pvp not facing relentless geared starters from blackrock.

You are wrong my friend @blind. Iam around 1700 rating started arena on Lord 3 days ago been playing on warmane and Lordareon for abouts 2 weeks. Hadm y account years but never really played .
I wish i was facing full relentless people. I wish! I win wrathfull teams and stuff but after doign around 100 games, 85 of them were BIS people wrathfull / smourne BIS rs 25 /ICC trinkets or DV TOGC 25 ret pala fullw rathfull aswell. After alot of research and games, i figured out icannot get 1800 for my weapons because i cannot do anything vs full wrathfull people with shadowmourne or BIS rogue/Sp altho i win those at times. So yeah something must be done.

To the people above, No i dont want to go Blackrock, i want the full blizzlike experience or as close as it can get! :) I love roleplay, ganking world pvp leveling or just simply helping low level players in westfall and stranglethorn!
However pvp is my thing and it's something i don't enjoy currently due to this issues. Another thing that could be done is low wrathfull Arena points cost and rating requirements on Lordareon. For instance put weapons 1700 instead of 1800 and so on. Or let us buy relentless with honor to at least close the gear gap between BIS people.

1700 Rating =/= below 1500 rating as I pointed out.
Beyond 1500 it is basically full s7 geared peeps all the time as you said, but that's not what I wanted to point out.

The problem is terribly basic as blackrock starts with full relentless gear and togc, everyone on lordaeron has to either raid a couple months or face an uphill battle even at 0 rating.

Beyond a certain point i'd not care too much about it, but when your "pvp newbies" face off against quite geared pvp-toons that get stuff most guys on lordaeron are unable to obtain at all it's kind of stupid to start.

It's fine to play vs pvp-geared guys after a certain point for the sake of having a chance to play at all. But when your first match is vs full relentless when the best you can got is furious and a couple drops from fos/pos/hor hc...uh, yea.

Lordaeron needs the requirement of 251 lvl + T1 - 50k-75k hk + ap, 270lvl + T2 - 100k-150k hk + ap. This will be a real incentive and goal for many people to play pvp on Lordaeron.

You overestimate the power of Smourne. It gives a dmg increase of maybe 10% compared to other highend 2handers.

It is fair to say that all 3 reams are targeted for 3 different gameplay streams
Blackrock - is full PvP server to eliminate PvE grinds and allow players to.....dunno...pvp!
Lordaeron - is corely scripted to appeal solely to PvE players who want to experience content in a more challenging environment.

Given that both of those realms are completely opposite sides of the same coin (coin a'la Warmane as a whole), there is Icecrown realm that combines the best of both if you do not want to dive solely into PvP or PvE, but would like a mix of both.

The bottom line, you can do PvP on Lorda, but treat it as a more challenging version. If you want to separate those experiences, go to Blackrock and gear up full A7+T9.5 and go schop-chop there.
