Automatic realm transfer back in 2016?[ANSWERED]

Hi,

I noticed some weird stuff on my account.
As you can see, it's been 4 years since I last played on Warmane servers.
I remember playing WOTLK on the Frostwolf realm, which was "the regular realm" let's say, both PVP and PVE with higher rates.
I tried to log in today, it looks like my characters are now on the PVP server(Blackrock), and I had to input them a new name.

I'm interested to play on the Frostwolf server, is there any chance to have my characters moved there?

Why were my characters transferred by default in 2016?
