Unauthorized software or modifications to your game client has been detected

During regular game play, I received the following message in chat:
"Unauthorized software or modifications to your game client has been detected. You will be disconnected shortly."

This message repeated a few times before the client did disconnect me. When I try to run the client again, it logs in fine and plays for a few minutes before I get that message yet again. I don't use any sort of add-ons, so I am not sure what would have caused this. I have tried reinstalling my client, and that did not seem to help it. I have played for a long time on Warmane, and have never encountered any similar issue before. If anybody knows what would cause this, or has had any sort of experience with this issue in the past, any help would be very much appreciated.

We have been logging terrain edits for quite a while and have seen a number of players having these altered, some giving an unfair advantage. Are you using any form of model edits?

I don't believe I am, these should be the original models. Is there some way to check within the game files if they are modified models?

Same problem here , started this morning after the maintenance, been like this all day , i don't have any addons , or anything i just downloaded the game 4 days ago from your site. plz help

This has also just randomly started happening to me today. This extremely frustrating. I only had recount and clique installed. Now I have starting using a fresh client installation and I am still having the same issue.

I know I might sound naive, but what on earth are they talking about? What is a "map edit" or "terrain edit"?

Assuming that I know what I'm talking about, a map/terrain edit is anything that modifies or manipulates the terrain and map (on the client side). For example, removing all of the trees, foliage, rocks and such. Here are some examples of some editors:

Oh, thank you. By "modify map" I understood like modifying the map we look at when we are looking for our way.

I can see what it means if you want to make some Machinima, but what is the advantage for a player in the game? I mean, that his map is different from the rest of the game?

I am also facing the same issue after the server maintenance, wondering if u guys have sorted it out?
