guild

Hello there, I have not played for mby a year so I do not remember exactly how this worked.
When I want to invite my alt to the guild, it has to be the same faction (sure as blizzard intented) but I thought there on blackrock it worked either way.
Does it ever worked on BC that you can only invite the same faction to the guild or is this some kind of a new feature?

maybe because they have recently switched to "Icecrown Core".

I have also noticed that this completely deleted my friend list which contained other faction characters
