I really hunted the 1000 achievement points to collect warmane points and now I found out that rename for points is only available on Icecrown.. why is it like that ?

Because Lordaeron doesn't have a vote shop. All features are only available for coins.
But it is just rename... that makes like 0 sense to have it work on Icecrown and not on Lordaeron because they are pretty much the same thing and you can collect points even there
I consider that Lordaeron is blizzlike, 1x rate and there was no vote points back then, you had to spend money to obtain this service (i think not sure tho)). In this case think about that you are making a donation and you help out the server function.
