So i was thinking.. i played rdf (hc) as a dps, yet definitely want to take a tank spec cause retri. right. :d After announcing i roll ms tank, the prot said that he has prio.. and that it has happened to him to have a banned ninja in dungeon.
Ofc, this isn't and shouldn't be true, however.. ain't many get scared and believe him? ninja by proxy, kind of...
If you wanna roll MS tank, make a tank and queue as a tank. Announcing your spec in a group which didn't invite you but rather, got matched up with you by sheer luck shouldn't give you priority or grabbing rights to the gear. If you join a raid group, the other members can leave would your MS announcement not fit their liking. In a RDF HC, the only way they can leave is by getting a 30 minute deserter or kick you, meaning they'll need to wait even further.
What about ToC 5 normal, trinket farm. Joining through specific dungeon and rolling for melee dps trinket after you annouce it at start. How would that be?
The prot was 100% right. If you want to roll for tank items, queue as tank. Or settle for greed rolling.Quote:

No. Make a ToC 5 trinket farm group, and state you're rolling different MS. Joining RDF, or specific dungeon for that matter, does not allow you to change your MS.Quote:

Well, it's not unusual for a plater to queue as a tank, since they can withstand the hits. As long as they play as such, they are allowed to roll for tank items.Quote:

eho obnoxious, i cannot know others' opinion if we follow different rules in.. well, voa for example? it is pretty much a random group (though of 25) and we are fine with rolling other specs.. right?
then, it'd be nice to note it in the ninja rules, as i have seen people changing ms besides me which may lead to an unexpected - and quite honestly unfair bans, as you would not do it with intention to screw up the others!
No, VOA has a leader distributing the loot and leader can sometimes say "no MS changes" and then everybody rolls the spec they came as. He can deny someone the change and that person can leave if they don't like it or get over it and stay.Quote:

That's why all the people who posted, but you still asked for an official position, said you should go with a premade group if you want anything outside of the simple "queued spec = Need, anything else = Greed." If it was simply the case, why would you be mistakenly asking about the possibility of banning people who told you how it's treated, and then asking for further confirmation from Staff after players confirmed it twice? What you think is correct would align with our rules. And if that is the case, then it would say that what you think is correct is in disagreement with what the majority do (since they wouldn't be banned not from knowing the rules, but from doing what they would do anyway). like i stated, i have seen one person to note that rule, and many others to change rdf ms - and ofc, have not reported them!
That doesn't mean anything. Your examples would only ever have any meaning if something really useful and valuable dropped, and was taken by someone who shouldn't have got it used Need. A lot of people don't make reports because they don't care enough, not because they aren't aware. It's like having loud neighbors. It can be against the law, but police isn't going to do anything if you don't bother reporting it. The rule is still there for those who do.Quote:
