Done with PVP - considering to donate. Help

Hello folks,

after 10 years of nothing else than wotlk pvp im completly done! i've literally seen everything in terms of pvp and cant even enjoy winning vs SM warriors while being full rele geared. So basicly I want to start doing PVE. Yesterday evening I've seen the beauty of Ulduar and I'm astonished about the fact, that I never came to the conclusing to start raiding because this **** looks beautiful and kinda thrilling!

Because im not the person who have plenty of time to build up an character from scretch, nor do i have any idea about the gearing process as a whole, i considering to start donating for 1 char.

Here's my question: How much money should one spend to be able to find a decent guild, being able to join every pug?

Buy weapon and trinkets, get into progressive guild and earn the rest of the gear yourself. This is how you will get most enjoyment from PVE on my opinion. And try to stay away from pugs as much as possibible, pug raids are complete cancer.

thank you very much! but im wondering, if im just having wep/trinkets, what is the first thing i should do than? getting some greens and que heroic dungeons?

Ok so i am a bit confused here. You said you played PVP for many years, i asume you have characters with some gear here even if its only PVP it will still work in PVE. Also if you got some vote points you can use that to get gear as well.

Now if you asking for fresh character with no VP or anything else but Weapon and Trinkets you should get some basic gear so you can queue for RDF hc. Spam RDF hc or POS farm for emblems and buy t9 sets and other gear with emblems from the vendor. This should put you around 5.5k GS. With that you are more then rdy to raid. For pugs you will most likely need evhievments to join, also pug raids are complete trash 99 of 100 times. I cant express how much better it will be if you join raiding guild, its just completely different game. Dont aim for best one but look for progressive, or try to enter as social rank in good guild and join their alt runs for a while.. Then you just show up for raids and progress with your gear. Rest of it you will learn with time.

people crying about how pvp is not fair because people have shadowmornes, umm, no, you lost because you don't have healers. A shadowmorne won't do much if you don't have a healer. It was like that on retail, the team with the good healers always wins.
