Hello, so I recently started playing as warlock in icecrown and currently have 3.8 gs and wanted to ask can I play afflicion warlock as such low gs or should I play demo or destro instead. I also heard that afflicion warlock is best at dps so I want to play it but I dont know if it needs high gearscore to be effective.
Well sure you can play whatever you want.
But if you want a spot in raids, go Demo. Affliction warlocks have a spot only if raid already has Demo and there is no mage to be found(higher dps than affli).
While you're doing only dungeons and at very low gear, go Destruction. Better DPS than both specs at that gear, at least maintained. Demo will have a nice burst tho.
Later, as soon as you start raiding and that's probably TOC runs at around 5-5.2 respec to Demo and stick to demo as angrylol said.
