when i open the game after closing it the settings reset and the resolution drops again to 1024 and sound etc. can i make it not reset?

when i open the game after closing it the settings reset and the resolution drops again to 1024 and sound etc. can i make it not reset?
Right click WoW folder -> properties -> remove "Read-only" and apply it to all subfolders when it asks you to.
