You should be careful, it might be CoD scam.
It's not COD. It's legit just 2k gold.

If you are sure, that the mail isn't an ordinary COD scam, then taking the gold wouldn't cause you a punishment. But you could be the better person and click "return", so that the person would get his gold back and send it to the intended receiver.
[edit] It could also be a COD failed attempt and, instead of tricking you, the sender actually sent you some gold.
I'd take it and run. Unless the sender has a bot name, you should be fine.
