2 random pubs managed to bug out a whole ICC10 ID. Any possible explanation?

So my group of six friends arranged a raid group with 4 other people found in global. 2 of them asked to join so we let them in. They didn't seem any more aggressive or annoying than any other average global player.

After wiping in rotface because one of those guys decided to, and said by himself before even pulling the boss: "I'm not moving", i called him on it because of the self centered attitude and they both started arguing with me saying things like we wouldn't have reached there if it wasn't for them, etc etc.. After some back and forth i tried to calm them down but they didn't group back up, they instead died somewhere (one of them by valkyrs, the other one i am not really sure where he went) so i decided to kick them out of the raid group.

After going back to dala to try and find some replacement, some low level account whispered me something along the lines of: "check your buffs, you might be missing something ;)" and it took us all a while to see that the whole raid group was missing ICC's buff. We tried to remake the group and reset the instance to no avail, at some point some of us couldn't even join the raid at all (some system error message popped in chat).

I have screenshots, I reported both players through in-game ticket and I'm waiting for a reply, but was wondering if anyone has gone through anything similar or if you might know what the bug even consists of.

It's not a bug, they just talked to an NPC at Light's Hammer to remove the ICC buff(that's as much as I know about how this happens).

Unfortunately, I doubt any actions will be taken against said players. Some time ago I reported an ignorant shadow priest who completely flipped out when he saw the heroic Amulet of the Silent Eulogy drop - started asking to roll the item(not all of them, just the neck, even though the raid had specific rules from the start that loot is rolled at RO or loot timers), started ninjapulling and insta-fading on every boss after gunship(even on trash), kept repeating stuff like "roll now or report ninja", you know... all the stuff. I had video proof of him... essentially disrupting gameplay for 24 other people, but all I got back as a response was "feel free to ignore the player and never invite him/her raids".

Imo, there should be a limitation to who has authority to remove the ICC buff(only the raid leader, for example), but that's probably not that easy to implement and will not be done.
