Does this actually exist?
I tried the caravan quest and the npc made one move and then stood there. I know the super seller has to be found sometime because I need the accurate scope recipe and am not willing to pay 200g for it. Question then becomes does it have a schedule?
Kinda like the Blasted Land quests you cant hand in.

After a set timer, the caravan starts heading down the road but as it gets near the first camp where you can pick up the escort, it remains stuck, since it won't move unless somebody starts the quest, and the quest will get the NPC (Cork) bugged out.
In order to get the second Robot spawning, this quest has to be completed so caravan will continue its way down south, make a stop, and then robot will appear for a couple of minutes. Considering this has been reported for 4y, it is safe to assume that 200g is a fair price to pay if you want to complete your cooking recipes.
You may end up lucky at another server restart if the caravan does spawn South, but you'd have to be there right after it, and you'd probably have to try it a couple times though.
[Edit] Concerning blasted land quests, if you're talking about animal parts quests, you can actually hand them in. The tracker isn't functioning properly and mobs do not give quests items but regular white items. (food parts)
However, they overlap and most of these quests will need the same compounds, therefore after turning one quest you may lack parts to turn the other ones in.
