Question about banned scammers

So I just reported a player for scamming with the good old cheap choker scam. This time I got response within an hour (usually takes between 3 and 6 days).
I saw that the player was suspended which means hes not permanently banned. Few seconds later the guy went offline (I added him as a friend) and right after there was system massage that account ASDQW*** was banned for 30 days, reason beign scamming.. Preetty sure thats the same guy.

So I have few questions:

1. Isnt it just 30 days laughable ? You can make new account level to 20 level for and hour or two and then scam people...
You can scam 10-15-20 people before you get suspended... thats like 100-200k gold. And in the end you are not even losing your fake account for more than a month.. when you can continue doing it.

2. What happens with the gold/items? Would you give me my gold back.. if not - why?
Do you take the gold away from him?
What happens if he sends the gold to his real account right after every scam ? Do you ban that account as well ?

I dont know.. When it comes to botting or fish botting when people are basically scaming the server (take away from warmane) the bans are permanent. But when it comes to scamming other people: "Here is 30 days suspention, you can keep the gold you make. That means some people got poorer and they might donate more money for gold" . Nice

I wouldn't say it's laughable. I'd say it's just the right amount. Do you want people to get perma banned over tricking dumb people?
Getting scammed is their fault, since it's easily noticeable if you're paying any attention at all. Besides, it's always recommended to use guildies or friends you actually know for such things or C.O.D. function if it's a BoE item. On top of all of that, you can just wait for people selling items to click trade first. GM's shouldn't be your shield against literally everything.

As for the amount of people, even you know that you're exaggerating. As soon as one person gets scammed he'll start spamming global warning people of the scammer. So that's 5 people at most in a few days.

He keeps the gold and items. You won't get your gold, it's just Warmane's policy.
From what I've heard, they do indeed track it down if it's like a low level character selling Wodin's (obvious scammer imo).
Make sure to point it out in the ticket if you find such an individual.

Except bots do permanent damage to the server by throwing the economy to **** through injecting and generating ****load of materials into it.
What scamming does is just circulate gold around like it happens usually, not their fault people are dumb to fall for it.

And on top of ALL OF THAT, I'll end it on:
Their server, their rules.

Well good to know its alright to scam people and you get to keep the gold/items .. Worst can happened? They will ban my 46th account for a month... After all its you fault dumb unaware people. Thanks

Alt accounts are a lot easier to track than people think.

if i'm not mistaken ban length increases with each ban, eventually leading to perm.

So you are telling me everytime you ban someone for scamming you start investigation to find if he has alt accounts to ban them too ? Yeah right..

Case in point for what Repost said.

I just got scammed today. The ban is ineffective as most people use 2 or 3 accounts. They send gold to main account. While secondary account gets banned for 30 days or so he is happily playing on main account and also he doesn't care about secondary accounts as their ment for scamming.
The user i got scammed from his in game name is "Locklucky". I did some research and found out he has another main account "Borsalino" with 7k+ achievement points. The "Locklucky" account is the sole guild member of "Friendly" and "Borsalino" is a member of "FrienDlly". 100% is the same guy.
