Turn off "Error speech" in sound settings.
I didn't close
MuteSoundFile addons They tried to solve it with, I couldn't get it to work

yes, I tried that, I tried other things, I worked for 2 hours. When I couldn't, I thought I'd talk about it
What happened after 2 hours? It ticked itself back or did you just start hearing your character again? Did any other settings change?Quote:

Try CTRL + S, see if it helps at all. That's the default key for sound toggle. CTRL + M would be for in-game music.
Open WoW/WTF/Config.WTF with notepad, search for SET Sound_EnableErrorSpeech "0" and set it as it's shown here.

It was turned off with the error filter. I can't find a working error filter.
I finally solved it, if anyone has the same problem, please download the file from the link I gave and throw it away.

And here we were thinking you meant error speech sound. Would've been able to help right away if you said "error text" lol. Oh well, good that it got solved.Quote:
